Cleaned up the original brake components. Will change out the 50 year old springs and keep trucking forward.

Just a regular old wire wheel on the filler neck. Most of the other parts were soaked in Evapo-rust for a day or so. Just make sure to keep it warm as the stuff wont work when it gets too cold. On heavy rusted metal parts, that had no rubber or soft metal parts, they took a short bath in (31.45% HCL) Muriatic Acid. Parts were neutralized with a baking soda solution, rinsed, treated with RPM, and then hit with a coat of matte clear; or primed, and painted with several coats of color, and then a matte clear top coat.
You can do it!!!Motor work is next if I want to get this done in time for Carlisle
