Remember one thing. Primer does not stop rust. It actualy excelerates it. If you want to save your work it should be sealed. A great sealer is Nason DTM from ORieleys. Great stuff and very cheap. Can get any DTM (direct to metal) sealer in a spray can too. Great Project! Keep up the great work.

You scored a sweet deal! Looks to be a very complete car. I just finished an 8 year build on mine. When i say just, i mean just. Got her on the road for the first time in 12 years just 2 weeks ago. If you need any advise or where to locate parts (73/74's are hard to find parts for) let me know. I'll be glad to help any way i can.... GOOD LUCK!!!!

74 Beeper, that's one NICE looking Bird. Been Slow going up here as I am still recovering from Back Surgery and can only do so much. Plus run the Pig Farm here and there up here.

Bout the only thing i can see right off the bat that is Missing is the Radiator and Shroud. Not with the car when I got it, everything else was. I wanna keep it as stock as possible so any suggestions on where and what size Radiator I can get for this thing (and shroud) would be appreciated. Nameplates are all missing too and i need the little piece on the dash that has the name plate on it as well as the guy who had it before me cut out a big square in it to put something in. It's wood grain looking plastic panel. I'll take a snap shot of it next time I am out there.

Original paint and factory options are important if it were a Hemi, 6bbl, big block or 340.
But since it is a 318 paint it what ever you want! GO MANGO, SASSYGRASS GREEN. What ever engine you want.

Thanks, that's what it's boiling down to for now. I'll keep everything that's number's matching to put back in it later if I ever get around to doing a full restore on it, but for not, it's gonna be what I want on it and in it LOL. I got some 360 Heads I was thinking of gluing to the 318 if that might make a difference. LOL.

Man I don't know how I missed this build. This is a cool looking car and kinda neat story. Sorry to hear about your back. Your out doing this stuff only 1-2 mouth s after surgery???? How I'm a year plus out of surgery and can't barley wipe my ***. My surgeon must of sucked . I had a two level with hardware on my l4-l5 and l5 -s1 now the want to go l3-l4 and loose the hardware. They say this will help me . Good luck on your build and send me the info on your surgeon I may need to speek with him as I don't have much fath in the ones around here.

I've lived with pain for about 20 some years now and have become accustomed to it. Had Foot Surgery yesterday. Man My body is just falling apart faster than they can fix it. Doc that did my Back surgery (Disk Fusion after the Diskectomy didn't work on L4-l5) is up here in Rapid City SD, Doctor WhittenBurg at the Regional Hospital up here. Great Guy but scary as hell because he has a Lazy Eye and just makes ya wonder LOL. I'm on my 4th month out from Surgery Right now and they said 3-6 Months Recovery time, at 3 Months I was about 60% Fused. Still a Lot of things I can't do anymore and will be on a 50 lb lifting limit for the rest of my life with this Crap. UGH UGH UGH.

4-8 Weeks Recovery time for the Foot Surgery Yesterday, then I can start Hauling *** on this Rebuild.
