904 to 727 Column 72 Charger

72 Charger, column shifter that used to have a 360/904 and now has a 440/727. I want to keep the column shifter and have all the linkage. But, as you all likely know, the drop mount for the linkage on the 727 is a lot higher than what's on the 904.

I was reading somewhere that there is a 80's or 90's Dodge van that actually had an extended shifter mount bracket for a 727 that'll work.

Anyway, if you know what I'm talking about can you please point me in the right direction on where to get the elusive bracket?

I went from a 904 to a 727, on a 340 but a 727 is a 727. And I reused everything and it works fine for the past 15 years.
Have you assembled it to see if fits?

Everything fits except for the drop bracket that holds the bar from the frame to the tranny. In the 904 there is a low bolt hole where the short bracket goes. On this year 727, it does not have the low hole, only the high "ear" on the bell.

Not great pics, but i have only the mount circled on the 727 but the brackets for the hole shown in the 904 pic. So need a longer bracket

Yeah... before I try to make a bracket, I was hoping someone knew of a part that might exist. I swear I saw a guy write about a Dodge van that had the bracket... but I can't find the post and he didn't say what model/year. I would imagine I'm not the only one who has a column shifter location issue for the 727. Just hoping I guess. I'll probably just make a bracket. Not a huge deal, but was trying to see if there was something out there first.
