Hey guys, looking for your opinions or possible experience with a "wholesaler" named Classic Car Liquidators.
Did a forum search on the name and got nothing.

I'm a firm believer that if something smells to good to be true, it is. I was wondering if anyone knows has dealt with this company? The cars look pretty decent, but are sure Daily drivers that need finishing. Maybe it's just me thinking the paint jobs all look too new, to not be suspicious.

I know my post count is really low, but I lurk a ton and read a ton of what everybody posts.

Looking for a certain car, but never get there fast enough for the one I really want, if you know what I mean.

Not finding very much positive feedback on them. Never had any direct experience with them myself but doubt I would deal with them based on the info I'm finding on the net about the business.

I have a buddy in Waco Tx.. I emailed him and he said that his friend has several cars in his collection that have seen the showroom of that place.. Didn't get any negative feedback, but didn't really say anything positive either.. Just that his friend has bought from them, and obviously keeps going back... But hey, won't hurt to give em a call, and if you are genuinely interested in a certain vehicle, put a post up on here and request one of our fellow "B" lovers that lives nearby to take a cruise and check it out for ya.. Just my few cents.. Good luck in your search..

Hopefully it is not some kind of offshoot from the Texas Toy Box fame.

Post the car your looking at as I am sure the guys here will give you input !

I live just outside of Sherman, where those guys are...even been there twice, just looking for odd-ball parts. But, I can't say one way or the other about 'em. They've only been in business a couple of years.
Yeah, they have a wad of cars, though.

I appreciate the info, I figured as much from the info I read from their postings and pictures. I'll keep watching the forums, eventually the car I want will come back up for sale, or one pretty much like it.

IIRC, they have multiple locations.

Be sure to check the text as the location of the car may be several states away from the location listed for the ebay username.

They have a 65 Barracuda they keep listing, that used to belong to a FABO member.
IIRC that car was sold for 5K, and it's been bid up to about 6500 and not met reserve.
Also, the member mentioned floor rust issues, that Classic Car Liquidators seems not to think is important.

I'd like to know more as well, as they have had several cars I'd be interested in.

BUY from members! why buy from a dealer who is going to lie to you about the car when you can get the truth and a better deal from a memeber here or on one of the other forums? If I were to ever sell my car the first place it would be listed is here and you would have 1000's of pictures and the story of it right in front of you.

I agree 100% if you have the funds to do so. My protocol when looking for any vehicle is to sign up to the forums first, and see if there are any quirks about a certain car I like, and see what's available on the classifieds there first. I always deal in cash when buying cars; pre-owned daily drivers or classics. BUT, not all have that availability, and I'm fairly certain that most of the members here do not finance their cars out, that's why these guys are in business.
