Have anyone used these wires? I bought them for use with headers, but it was waisted money at this point. Wireboots are much to tight for spark plugs with normal size ceramic insulator. I did try putting the wireboots on different plugs.

The only plug they would fit, were the "slim" type shorty plugs with extended reach (witch do not fit my iron heads). I posted some pictures that hopefully visualize the issue.

Maybe i can use them in the future, if i put Trick Flow Powerports on my 440. Doesn't aluminum heads require plugs with extended reach? If so, i can then use the plugs that fit the ceramic wireboots.

Does anyone have recommendations for other "headersfriendly" plugwires that i can use?

I have found that the 90 degree plug boots just don't cut it with BB headers. I like the MSD boots that are made to "customize". Whatever position you bend them into, they stay.

I use the Accels with fiberglass boots in a 79 Corvette with block hugger headers. Been working great for many years. I burned through a few other types before succeeding with this combination.

I use them on mine , RPM head and Doug's 452s Champion RC12YC with out any issues.

IIRC on a 383 with Hooker Supercomps I needed six 90's and two 45's

I have those Accel ceramic wires on all 3 of my cars. No issues at all with straight, 90*, or 45* ends. Trick Flow 240's, Stealths, and a pair of Indy LA-X cast irons.

Thanks for the feedback. What type of sparkplugs do you use?

NGK bkr6e-11 in the Trick Flows, NGK bkr5e in the Stealths, and NGK fr5 in the cast iron Indy's.
