Adding Hazard flasher system to 62 mopar, simply with diagram ?

Since Hazard flashers were not on early 62 Fury-mopars, I was wondering if anyone has done this, and could post information, and a wiring diagram ?
 
He ya go..... I did it to my 66 Charger. I planned it in a way that I thought would be minimally invasive to the original wiring in the car. Attached is schematic and detailed written description of how I did it. Also are pix of where I mounted the flasher and relays under the dash. I would guess that your wiring colors are likely different, but this is quite a straight forward modification, works with key off and still allows turn signals & brake lights to work, so useable while driving. It alternately flashes between rear tail lamps and front parking lamps which draws less battery current than flashing all at once. I used what's called a wig-wag flasher that provides alternating closures. Flashers are activated by a illuminated switch mounted to lip of underside of dash. You should be able to get everything electrical you need at any auto parts store. Relays mounted to a piece of aluminum angle. In line splice crimps to join new to old. This should be doable for any Mopar that did not come with 4 way flashers. If you don't have a shop manual or wiring schematic for your 62 fury, get one.. it will be most helpful.

Mopar made an over the counter kit for the 66s

I assume it works or can be adapted to earlier cars

What led me to want to do this was when I first got my Charger in 2010, had issues with fuel pump push rod length that left me un-startable on the road side. on a 2 lane road. Wished I had the 4 ways then...

Then you understand what I'm talking about. And at night would be even more worrysome.
 
If I needed to do this I would use 4 diodes a flasher and switch with indicator light

I have added 4 way flasher to a 64 fury with a mopar kit. They work well. I would think a 62 would not be any different.
