Annoying TV ads part 15

People still watch cable TV? I stream all my movies and TV shows for free with the ads removed and use adblockers on my browsers so I don't even get the YouTube ads.

People still watch broadcast TV.
...and go to movie theaters.

The Burger King ads with the plastic face King were all fairly bland. But the internet liked them.
Then BK made one for breakfast sandwich, and thig guy wakes up and the king is sitting there waiting to hand him one.
This sparked the concept that the king was some type of supernatural ninja, able to sneak around and infiltrate about anywhere.
Oh, and the internet like the breakfast sandwich one, where the guy wakes up terrified, and made a rather famous meme:

So now the king was some type of master of stealth ninja from some other dimension who's purpose was only to deliver sand2wiches to unsuspecting hungry people.
A short while later, BK saw these reactions and jokes and ran with it, making a video game where you played as the king with the entire point of being sneak up to people and give them a hamburger:

This of course resonated with youngsters.

Anyway, the ads alone were unremarkable, but they struck a nerve with young internet millenials and the ad campaign exploded.

Ads I despise:
All of the pharma ads. They should be outlawed. Drugs should not be advertised on TV.

The loom-y girl. I don;t even care about the product, it's that girl. She is so, very, very excited about B.O. and body parts, it comes off as some type of giggling perversion. Imagine meeting her in real life:
"What do you do for a living?"
"Oh I invented deodorant for your butt and crotch. Do you want to talk about my underboob area or my crotch? We can talk about your stanky parts if you want instead!"
"uhh...."
"Really, everyone should be happy to talk about their smelly rear! Everyone poops!"
"Please stop following me...."

That lady is simply utmost un-ladylike in every classic sense. It drives me nuts. If they just made an ad explaining the new concept of the product and how it works differently they wouldn't alienate so many potential customers. But I suspect the overbearing underboob lady insists on being on TV so she can loudly exclaim "privates!" with a toothy smile on national TV.

I don;t like the forced diversity in TV, and that included commercials. I saw an ad with a black father, white mother, asian kid(boy) and middle east/india kid(girl) talking to a chick in a pant suit.. I turned the channel. Is it fine to have a black guy married to a white girl with adopted kids from other places on the planet? of course. Can I relate to them? No. It came of as absurd and forced just to check all the boxes.

But that's a lot of what is out there, commercials pointed to catch the attention of a particular demographic, like the inner city people. I miss commercials that didn;t try to wave a flag at one particular segment of our population.

Plastic king masks sold pretty good at hallowen there for a while.

Commercials now appear to be the leading edge of the DEI spear. White folk apparently only needed in mixed race couple (car commercial go to), to play someone acting stupid, or as perp on home alarm commercials.

With the crappy singing by their Biz Markie protege and stupid lyrics, they seem to be aiming toward the urban black customer.
Seriously, the singing is horrible in those ads.

CUT to 1.35 to see similar singing quality.

no thanks ,,,

Speaking of...

Who could forget this classic?

Automagically!

Lately, any commercial with Kevin Hart.
They put his face there to be recognizable and "infer comedy". But there isn't anything funny about the commercials. Surprised they haven't added a laugh track after his one liners yet.

Laa laa laa laa laa, loo loo loo loo loo… The Fruitloops commercial with the piano player guy .

How bout ANY of the claritain allergy commercials, especially the “guy” walkin all the dogs

I know everyone is sick of these posts but I guess we can add all the jake from State Farm commercials to the list, if their not here already.
