A year ago I bought a TCI Street-fighter 727 for my 73 Roadrunner and replaced my tired 727 thinking all should be good now but no such luck. Leaked from day one! I work overseas so don't get to drive it but a month or so a year so you can imagine my disappointment. Warranty was only for 90 Days but didn't have time to take it out so at Xmas last year when I came home I found my enclosed trailer leaking oil. Opened the door and just about all the tranny fluid was on the deck of my enclosed trailer.
Going home again in August and hope to swap it again. Bought a TCI Super Streetfighter this time so was wondering if anybody has had any experience with the beefed up version of the Streetfighter. Hoping I won't get bitten twice.

I run one behind my 496 stroker. So far so good. About 5k miles on it. The stall speed is pretty damn high on it though. Can be a bit annoying on the street with 3.55 gears. But that's not the TC's fault.

Run a Super Street Fighter on my 512. Keeps up with 632 Ponies no problem. Only issue I had (which was my fault) was I overfilled it initially. Couldn't get a hold of TCI for capacity when initially filling it, so I went off the 727 Torqueflite capacity chart in my '69 Factory service manual. Puked tranny fluid all over the floor from the vent up and behind the torque converter. So basically puked out from the bottom of the inspection/dust cover. Got the car nice and warm, checked while running in neutral and ended up taking a bunch back out. No biggie. Doesn't leak a drop now. Good luck.
