Exactly how I feel. We've been together for 41 years now and I can't imagine what I would do without her. She loves my old cars and she must love me too for some unknown reason. Can't ask for any more than that.

Something else you may not know: Linda is back East visiting the "kids. They are in their 40's now. The utility bills here are down. The volume of wash is down. Reduce the residents from 2 to 1 and the garbage is reduced by 2/3rds. The account says she is filling their gas tanks and fridges too. Target, K Mart, Dollar Tree, Sunoco etc.

I know some guys that are total drama queens but I know a whole lot more gals that are too. What's up with that crap? My oldest is totally into it and so is her 18 year old daughter. There have been times when they were here visiting and start arguing about whatever and I'd have to break it up and 'mom' would say "well she started it". WTH! You're the mother...act like it! And the POS son in law. What a pile of crap he is. In and out of jail and beats on his wife and yet she tries to justify his sorry existence at my expense. Finally, I think she has realized that he's a POS and has moved off without any forwarding address but he's looking for her hot and heavy. I can only imagine what this jerk will do when he finds her. I would have 'fixed' things a long time ago but "I love him soooo much" she says. Damn girl, you don't know what love is.

Middle daughter? This one is the one that's from my X and is 29 and doesn't talk to me. I guess that's her drama. I'm not beating my head against that wall anymore.

Youngest daughter....she hates drama and we get along just fine but she is very opinionated but at least she keeps it to herself for the most part lol

Yeah, I dealt with all that **** early on in the relationship. She went away to school and ended up being medicated for depression. I helped her through it and she's been off for about 5 months now. It's not the same problems though.

Was married once for 10 years. Been divorced since 94. Had a few close calls (engagements) but quickly wised up before I reached the point of no return. Last one, I had the same thing. She was nice as pie around other people and behind closed doors she was a high strung type. Never shut down. Wore me out having to always wonder what I was doing wrong at that particular moment.
Went to a therapist and she told me that SHE should be on some kind of anti-depressent. I was only releived because I thought I was the one who was crazy.

Very long story short, I ended it. I found out a long time ago that you need courage to recognize a bad relationship and even more to end one. However, you will always look back and be better off without.

A relationship is supposed to enrich your life, not drag you down.

Funny chit... I like that part, you don't even have to be married to experience most all that, I have 5 sisters {well 4 now youngest one died last Sept.} 3 daughters & raised one of my nieces, anyway short of the sexual connotations/aspects, unless you live in Alabama maybe he he ha ha, the same crap happens, when any women/woman are visiting &/or living in the house... sorry I got a little side tracked here

My girlfriend ........ I hope I don't have to deal with this for 50+ years...

Someone I know did something I thought very smart and some think a bit odd.
This guy was "crazy" for this girl he was dating. The relationship was getting emotionally serious.
(no sex, no shacking up: homey don't play that). Anyway, realizing that marriage was next on the agenda, he wrote on piece of paper all the things he expected of the marriage and his life with her. Then he sat down with her and went over the list.
There were key items they would not/could not come together about. He ended the relationship. 'Tore him out of the frame' for a while but, assuredly it saved him from a lifetime of disappointment and misery.

Advice on matters of the heart is tough for anyone to take but since you asked what you have now is the best it's ever going to be and that may be awesome like my "old lady" is but IMHFO if it's not ideal early on when it comes to your other passion(s) (besides her) it's not a good sign
