Anyone here got the new LX/LC cars? Here in S.A., San Antonio, not South Africa the LX club is into stuff I just don't find too appealing. Nothing against their version of performance; ie painting their Throttle Bodies the same color as their car, and detailing everything under the hood, I appreciate that, but, as my threads attest I step it up a bit, and appreciate those that do! But, man, when I go to these meetings, no one really has any idea and cares about the old cars. But hey, just observin' ya know, no hate, love 'em all. Just the new cars don't need media blasting...yet! lol

That's the way it seems....the 'tuners' do it with lap tops. I have a 10 year old lap top out in my shop lol

ive built prolly 200-300 of the new hemis. last good dyno tune i had was on a srt8 jeep cherokee. layed down just shy of 1200 at the wheel. on 426 inches.

hell...shaffi keisler runs some of my parts in the motor thats in his cuda.

a set of the new apache (6.4 series engines) heads we have here are fixing to do about 440 cfm peak. on a stock valve btw.

key word; yet

- hope you live long enough

dont own any, but i do work on them daily ! .... around here all of the LX clubs do the 24" wheels, multi color paint jobs, lambo doors, etc ....... even seen some speakers behind the front grille ! not my style ( oh yeah, and 90% of them are pushing a 2.7L !! haha ! ) ...

A few years ago, while at the track with my Mopar at the time, I was watching all these 300's, Magnums & Chargers running. And I was impressed with the times they were doing ! That, and watching them "tune" in the pits with these gadgets. So, I went out & bought me a 300C & I absolutely love the car. A few mods & the car runs nice. Since I'm old school, I'm not into those add-on dildo's.

Had my SRT8 for 3 years now and loved each and every one of the 42k miles I driven it. Not into the big wheels or lambo's either, just exhaust, ported TB and Preditor. It's nice kicking chebby *** with the windows up, a/c chilling, classic rock blasting on satellite in my 4200 pound grocery getter.

I've enjoyed my 08' Charger R/T, for what it is the past few years. Its a great car for just plain old driving around town or on long trips. Comfortable, quiet, lots of room, will get up and go when needed and not bad fuel economy. Only mod I've done to it was adding a K&N air intake. I've toyed with doing more - but in the end I'm holding out for a new Challenger SRT. The 350 hp doesn't do much for me anymore - and I hate the automatic tranny in it - and the clatter of the MDS system at idle.

I know what you mean about the newer car clubs when comparing to the cars we seem to love here. Mine isn't a MoPar, but I've got a 2010 turbo 4 cylinder, that I've bolted up and tuned the ECU on. It's fun and all, but I think we all know what car now sits in my garage, while my now daily driver only hangs out in the driveway...

My "other" Mopar. A 2006 Charger.
Pretty much stock with a few add ons...spoiler, graphics, got some aluminum stock Challenger rims to put on when it needs new tires.

Not into the lowered, 22"s, and bling either.

I've got an 05 Magnum R/T that is our road car for trips. Haven't done anything other then replace all the rotors, due to warpage. Rides nice, good fuel mileage and plenty of power. Ive seen plenty of them "pimped" up but thats not my thing. Bought a set of 08 SRT wheels for summer driving, they will be coming off next month. Added a billet grille to replace the cheap plastic factory one.

New Mopar

We have a 2010 Furious Fuscia Challenger RT Classic and I have never had a car get as much attention. I just wish my old ones drove half as good as it. Ronnie

Pop has a '09 Challenger R/T Classic 6spd in B5 blue and he loves it, I will admit the other day I had a choice between driving my sister's '72 scamp or the challenger and I grabbed the challenger keys and enjoyed it!

I think he only has a mopar cold air on it....

It goes ok for what it is and it sure does drive nice down the road.
