Anyone heard from moparedtn ?

Thank you again very much everyone. Wish I could impart some great strategy or moves I made to
get by this, but I can't lay claim to any. Probably the opposite really.
I'm down over a dozen pounds, too. This is not the way that should be done, either. :)

Good to hear your back and on the mend Ed, what a great group this is to notice your absence and care enough to wonder why.

I get that, I've been to 4 specialist this month for my yearly check to see if they'll get to see me again next year appointments. I picked up a bug while I was at one of them. Starting to feel better today, stay healthy!!

Same to you sir. This one seems to be resistant to treatment. Tough bugger....

Ed is persnickety. I like persnickety.
I just figured that you'd stepped back for a few days like many of the regulars here do sometimes.
Glad to hear that you're improving.
Persnickety is a funny (sounding) word, but it has the negative connotation of placing too much attention or emphasis on trivial matters. Nothing here is trivial. :poke:

I much prefer the term "fastidious" as it too is a funny (sounding) word, but it is defined as "very attentive to and concerned about accuracy and detail. One synonym is **** retentive. That's a compliment.

Glad you're doing better Ed.

I’ve never thought of Ed’s ***.

I'm glad of that!!!

Glad you're doing better, Ed! I know a couple of folks who are having issues right now and well, they shouldn't be! It's nuts....

I was looking at weather.com a couple of days ago and clicked on their time lapse prediction for the flu. Already hit Tennessee and is sweeping across Georgia. The higher case count for coastal Georgia should begin in a little over a week. Meh, just wash your hands regularly.

When the wife got it first, I went into "don't catch that crap" mode immediately.
Didn't help at all - the stuff jumped me like it had an issue with me.

A problem where I used to work (retired in 06) was that we had a gift card program for not getting hurt AND not missing any work within the year. The company was always striving for no recordable injuries and no days missed due to sickness. People would get hurt (minor usually) and not report it and would come to work sicker than a hog and pass their crap around. One dumbass ran a drill bit through his hand when trying to drill a part by holding it in his hand. He didn't say anything but several days later it got infected because of piece of metal got embedded in it. So, he went into the office to use the first aid kit to try and dig it out and a supervisor just happened to walk in and see it even though the dumbass tried to hide what he was doing saying he just needed a bandaid. Yeah, he got in trouble for that. He was just one of the several butt heads out there that usually made things worse but also made good laughter fodder for later on.
