"Behind the Green Door"

The h/l bezels are polished and will get painted tomorrow. Then the hood lip molding is next. Then is tricky part of putting Gary's idea into motion, although he did send me pics of how to cut the brackets. Welding the aluminum will be dicey as it is thin, but it's doable.

Braccket Mods

The grille/ parking light brackets have to be modified in order to use them to mount the grille in the original position in the upper and lower valance. Just in case you have just tuned in I have removed the parking lights to make a S/S style grille.

The tabs will bent forward and rest underneath the lower grille bar the drilled and riveted in place.

The weather has finally taken a change for the good in northern Michigan and the snow is melting rapidly. Making plans to get back at the Belv. I have to finish the proto type fender well headers and move on to the rear spring relocation. If that isn't enough I have to finish the 2500 wet sand and buff on the GTX for the last time and put all the trim back on!!!

Bad News

As in the last post everything was looking good to get back to work on the old hot rods, turned 69, health is good, and then the bad news arrives. Where I have renting for the past 6 years the landlady decides she wants her house back(there's More to the story) and I now have to find a new residence. I downsized many years ago but I have accumulated a lot of STUFF. So until I find a new place to nest the 66 Belv project is on hold which really SUX!!!

I'm getting to old for this ******* ****!!! :angryfire:

This is not an April Fools prank - it's for real!!!

Storage for Stuff
I have rented a storage(11x20)unit just down the street and around the corner literally. It is convenient and I can use my JD/ yard trailer to transport the goods. I have it all prepped and ready to rock!!!

It's been a long month; I am physically and mentally exhausted! my new digs are finally ready with the new decal on the front - just a little personal touch. I am not exactly sure how this will work out for me, I will just improvise, adapt, and overcome!!! As far as any future post on the build, it's going to some time before I can organize the carnage of the move. All the personal things, and car stuff is in bags and boxes scattered over Hell's Half Acre so to speak!!!

Until next time - be careful out there and don't hurt yourself for life is to be lived and not a problem to be solved!!!

I am still getting settled and unscrambling the mess from the move, but my valve covers finally came in after being on back order for a month.

I know exactly how you feel! I've got so much **** scattered around the new house, and still need to get 2 more loads tomorrow, then I'm out of the old house. I feel your pain!!

The 66 project is gone - sold it - took a bath on the sale. My 67 GTX is for sale also - not going to take a bath on that sale when it happens!!!
