Big problems with Oroville, CA dam

The idiots that manage our water or our resivoures here &
the Liberals/eco-Nazi's activists we have for politicians, are our real issues...

It's a damn "sink hole", mother nature is the cause,
the hole is the size of a football field now...

My nephew lives not far below that damn in Marysville area,
A rental my Moms old house it in that area too
probably in the floodplains, if the damn was to fail...
I doubt it will either...
It's the spillway, not the damn....
Don't believe everything you read on the -www- either...
But there's a lot of good people that could be effected & harmed, devastated,
that didn't have anything to do with the politics or bad water management
& losers/Libtards causing the bureaucracy, lack of maintenance,
diverting the funds for social reengineering, welfare or healthcare for those
that don't pay any taxes or all on the dole, instead of infrastructure repairs
& actual maintenance BS...

Still the Libiot's fault, for not exercising "proper water management ever",
more concerned about some damn hellgrammite {bug},
some damn salamander, some damn plant or damn catstail or
freaken' smelt or social BS etc....
Instead of taking care of our farmers, ranchers, that need the water
to help feed the country & the state etc.

Don't get me started on the "Libiocy" {Liberal Idiocy}

The rest of US here {US citizens, not illegals} in Calif. are hardworking,
tax payers, farmers, ranchers, businessmen/women,
that live away from the SF Bay area, Sacramento, Vallejo, Vacaville etc. &
all the libtards or traitors in those coastal regions...

Govt. BS bureaucracy & the eco-nazi's or typical Union BS
will drive the coasts of repairs thru the roof/budgets be damned {pun intended} &
US "actual taxpayers" & business people, US citizens, that farmers
& the ranchers etc., here in Calif., not some "damn statistic" on the dole,
that don't pay a dime in taxes "ever"or work under the table for cash or illegals,
those that don't contribute ****...
We {taxpayers} will all ultimately pay for it too, not the losers on the dole,
not the politicians, unions, water boards or victim class snowflakes bitcher's
& moaners or the protestors &/or inner-shity's Libtards, that voted them in....

:soapbox:

Yes, usually make the Show in Sac. Correct Y2 Sunfire Yellow. Hagan Park is a nice venue. Lots of cars you don't see anywhere else. Coronet darter and Colorado Dave up your way too.

The local news is now reporting that the emergency spillway is likely to fail within the next hour.
Wow, holy ****, that ain't good at all.

I was watching a show on Discovery last week something about the Death of the Colorado, but something I found very interesting is that the farmers that use water in so cal had to pay the state for water rights...???.... Large farms could buy the small farms rations which left the small farm u planted...
Sounded like the situation would only get worse as more and more legislation gets introduced.... I'm guessing water is the next "oil crisis" and fully expect food supply to diminish and prices to go through the roof...more so than they already have....

They have been fighting over water, and water rights, for a hundred years, in this state.
Northern California, Central California, Southern California, all want water that starts out here in the North state.
Were doomed.

Bingo about water and food, and not just in dry areas or the US. Food depends on topsoil. The image below is from and article in Time magazine published in 2012.

Yep, the entire dam is likely to fail very soon. Everyone downstream is being told to head for higher ground. A very bad situation.

I have a few friends in central Texas that farm soybeans, cotton, milo and a few other crops 5-10k care variety. Most get their water from Brazos, Navasota & San Gabriel rivers but I've never heard mention having to pay for water rights...???... I'm worndering of that is a state thing... Leftys???

Live coverage here. 3 hour backups, unreal traffic. Poor bastards. All the best.

I have friends and car club buddies that have been evacuated. Motels & Hotels are booked full nearby. Watching the traffic stream it looked like scenes from The Walking Dead in the first season.

RATFINK:
Our club meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month at the California Auto Museum on Front Street in Sacramento. We start gathering around 6:30. Visitors are always welcome.
