Black Bear in Maine!

I checked my trail camera the other day and got this incredible pic of a great looking Maine black bear! Got a little cinnamon coloring or dried mud. Hard to tell from this pic..

I'm about 20 miles west of you off of 109 in Wakefield NH.

And I'm in the Rachel Carson Preserve in Wells 1/4 mile from the beach. Maybe we should have a mini pro-tour for B-bodies.

And just because the bear is black, don't assume it's a progressive city bear.

Outside bears are better, wouldn't let him in. Got mad and ripped my gate! Didn't have to go to Maine either.

I know at least one of the guys I work with has a place in Wakefield. Small world. Actually, heading north tomorrow

Had a hunting camp on 50 acres in T2R9 NWP. Never saw many bear around but one summer we were up for a week fishing and had a couple that would not leave. Hung out on the edge of the woods around the camp. saw a bunch that summer then never again after that.

Garbage night tonight,bear hit cans a 5 weeks ago. Been putting garbage out at 6 am until 2 weeks ago, garbage truck came at 4 am..

4am garbage haul? Dang. The trash truck (we don't separate) is doing good if it comes through around noon but most times it's late afternoon and there have been times when it didn't make it until 8pm....

And RC's place is about 50 min from Wells. Hmmmmmmm after Labor Day it's really nice up here. Less folks, cool and I know very good Irish Pub in the center of Wells. And they haven't thrown me out yet. I think XP29H is kinda downeast. We should try to do a Mopar meet. XP29H can bring the bear, as long as it behaves.

Oh god not even close! Got another 3 hours to to get to the top border to Canada! Bangor sits pretty close to the middle of the state.

Got tons of bears in these parts (Smoky Mountains), especially the famous ones down towards
Gatlinburg, where idiot tourists have been trying to pet and feed the things for decades....
bears ain't shy around here for sure.
This particular valley isn't as thick with them, but I've had to run a couple young male ones
away from the back porch (garbage cans) already this summer.

They're a bit hardheaded about leaving - until they hear the first crack of whatever firearm I
happen to have handy usually.
