my first move is to gap everything as close to perfect as I can. The doors and trunk lid won't move for a while, as they will serve as my jig.
the doors were both hanging low, but the hinges were tight in that position..... and there was plenty of room for adjustment. All those bolts were TIGHT, and obviously never disturbed...... little lazy on the assembly line?
not sure what's up with the deck lid...... it's almost as if the trunk hinge brackets were installed too far rearward
. Maybe it's one of those "Friday cars"
..... nothing's bent, and it opens and shuts fine; so I modified the deck lid a little, it'll be our secret.
oh, I have a nice lower tie bar in my pile to replace the smashed one........ it was forcing the hood latch support too high
nice straight car....... now we can get rid of half of it
