Never fails does it?You're probably right. I'll be putting his buddies back under there real soon.
That's what happens when you shortcut something on these old pieces. It was a used center section, gears looked real nice, correct play and it didn't show any signs of leaking. It's not the easiest thing to replace the seal with the unit out of the housing, as far as to re-torque the pinion nut. So I opted not to install a new one. Guess what, it's going to get a new one now...
