Bugs In My Radiator

You're probably right. I'll be putting his buddies back under there real soon.

That's what happens when you shortcut something on these old pieces. It was a used center section, gears looked real nice, correct play and it didn't show any signs of leaking. It's not the easiest thing to replace the seal with the unit out of the housing, as far as to re-torque the pinion nut. So I opted not to install a new one. Guess what, it's going to get a new one now...
Never fails does it?

Look out Hagarstown ... Nice job can’t wait to see ya

Hope it is warmer than last year. I need to get some miles on this engine and see how it's doing for that long of a trip. It's not that long but long enough. It will good to see you again too.

I did put the jack stands away tonight. Replaced the pinion seal, straighten the steering wheel and gave the torsion bar adjusters one turn. Now they're talking rain for the next two days. I'll probably replace the accelerator pumps and metering rods tomorrow while it's raining.

More details in my thread...

Ahha, Rain in Pennsylvania. I moved out west 24 years ago.Talking to the locals, the subject of drought came up and how dry it was for the last few years with little rain. My response was "If it doesn't rain for 10 days in Pennsylvania, now that's a drought !''
I had to mow 15 acres of grass I was lucky if I got 3 days a week that it wasn't raining. Thanks for reminding me what rain is.
