That sounds like your moving right along Will, looks real good!
Got some time on the Dodge today......
Prepped the donor roof, and also prepped the inner roof frame. Cleaned it down to all bare metal, sprayed Zinc Weld-Thru primer along all the surfaces to be welded to, then sprayed some PPG DP40 Epoxy Primer over the rest of the frame. Roof brace, I didn't any decent panel adhesive to apply between that and the skin, so I went with some run of the mill Liquid Nails in the caulk gun.
Little tough to put on alone, but the skin is on. Fit like a glove. After calling it a night, I'm about 3/4 the way through welding up all the spot welds.
Hey Prop . . . so much for the "special" sunroof option . . . but the work is amazing ( as always ) and the top looks great in place ! ! Are we done yet ? ! ? ! ?
Looking good Will. Reminds me of this summer, we had a huge damaging hail storm, my boss at work has a 2012 Toyota Tacoma, the insurance companies fix was to cut the roof off to repair it. He ended up going with a dent-less repair shop instead.
You Will, fear no hail storm!
Nice work as always.

NO on the blonde wig Will! I let my wife where one one night and haven't had a conversation i could understand since, never again.... he he..... My dinner over and need to go but i couldn't resist this one, me sorry ;( not. lol
Like we've said in the past . . . now we know where they all go SGTPaul . . . you seem to have cornered that market ( no wonder Prop's collection is so meager ) . . . LMAO
Will, I can't believe your wife actually said that. But, we did have a close call with that "comfortable" t-shirt. LMAO!!!!! Looks good with the roof back on. Too bad you couldn't have made it a retractable hard top, then tell her it was a 1 of 1 factory option for her car. When I get home for Christmas, I've got some things I got to send your way for you and the wife.
Looks good Prop. I enjoy reading your posts and learning from you.

first i checked out this thread........ nice job on the roof, lots of prep on a job like that....... showed it to the wife, she thinks you are nuts also ( about the roof thing, she didnt see the wig comment )
LOL! You know........as I pulled the 15 or so panel vise grips I own off the tool board, and started clamping them on, it become very clear that the 15 should have been about 60. At that very moment I immediately thought of you, and how disappointed you probably would have been at my meager collection of clamps. Hehehehe!
Yesterday was a bit of a "Right tool for the job" Fail, with a definite lack of panel vise grips. Punishment was the use of #10 Sheetmetal screws. I was a bit frustrated, nearing the end of my 75 screw or so option, when the wife came out and said in all seriousness "I can't believe they just screwed roof's on back then...that looks so tacky!" I just told her I was so surprised & stunned the old roof didn't blow off over the years, being all the original screws must have either rotted off or were missing. Close call folks!!!
Hehehe...never the less, I told the wife to add panel vise grips to my X-mas list, and I was adding the prettiest blonde wig I could find to her's.
