Car needs some suspension help

Mate, you can definitely do it all yourself. I did a full front end kit and disc brake conversion myself with no help other than the running of the brake lines, and no specialist tools (just a picklefork and a big hammer). I had no prior suspension experience, just good with my hands.
I bought a full kit through PST and yes it was intimidating opening the boxes, but once you start pulling the old rusty stuff off, you learn where the new stuff goes back on. It's very basic technology.
You also learn a lot about your car for future maintenance so you won't need a shop to diagnose problems and take your $$$. I drive my car regularly and nothing has fallen off in 3 years - I say go for it, and with the help of the members here you will get through it just fine.

As far as a specialty tool, you'll need the upper ball joint socket. Rather than buying the socket, new joints, and bushings which need to be pressed, why not just get tubular arms from PST ? You'll get better positive caster.
