I went to see the play "Beautiful" which is about Carole King. If and when it goes on tour and you have the chance to see it and like music of the sixties, i recommend it. Her and her first husband wrote many songs for many groups. It also chronicles her life when she went out on her own. Reading her bio, the song Oh Carole" sung by Neil Sedaka was about her as they dated briefly. So if your into music and have the opportunity you'd enjoy this musical.
Before the curtain opened and intermission i got to talking to a older than me LOL couple. They were big into oldies and have seen many concerts. The gentleman was a Viet Nam vet who also told me about a group he saw while on R and R. and also when he was stationed in Ca. He was a really nice man as was his wife. We sat seven rows back from the stage and while it wasn't cheap money wise was worth every cent. My wife really liked it and thats what counts

The downfall to living in a cornfield is lack of sophisticated things to do. Like go to musicals.
If I ever visit NYC I will make it a point to go see one. But only one you recommend.

"Sophisticated things to do". LOL.... We hardly go into the city. We should but we dont take advantage. Im really not a Manhattan type of person but you Kool being a young guy will like it as the women are HOT. Just dont forget those sunglasses, id hate to see you get smacked in the side of your head by you know who. LOL.....

Carol King is an awesome artist.
I dig most all of the 70's tunes. That was a time when music was just better IMO.

I live in a cornfield. I don't have any problem finding sophisticated things to do.
