That's a should be dead temperature, tell Mary to keep her clothes on and stop flashing you through the window !

The 28 year old step daughter is a natal RN in edge of Houston Hospital.. She reused the jab but they said she could claim religious immunity! She is a high end supervisor in that baby ICU. Guess they did not want to fire her.
So about 2 weeks ago she and some nurse friends went to Dallas on their annual trip before holidays.
She comes back home coughing, some fever, gets the Covid test, negative. Tells her its a bacterial pneumonia. Tested twice. But at work she wears the space suit all day. Makes me wonder.

Glad your starting to feel better. Hopefully you’ll be back to 100 percent soon!

I understand the odds - do YOU?

99.8% recovery rate is all I need. You want to hide, go ahead and hide. But don't you DARE try and force me to do the same.

Enjoy the fear ****. I'll be enjoying the fresh air, sunlight, and company of other real live people.

As I will also with the ones I love and the unselfish ones that care about others.
Enjoy your journey, Praying yours lasts.

Yep, he's lucky he's still typing as that should have been a trip straight to emerg...
I just read this.....

When should you go to the ER for a fever?
For patients who are otherwise healthy, alert, and have an obvious explanation for their low-grade fever – such as a cold – at-home remedies and monitoring may be sufficient. However, any fever above 103°F should be treated immediately in the ER.

I talked to a Doctor a few days ago and she didn't seem concerned when I told he of the fever spikes.....but at that point, I think I had only peaked at 104.
When I got that 106 number, I felt tired and hot but otherwise normal. No delirium, no nausea, no headache or sensitivity to light.
Maybe I am just weird.

Much thanks to those that chimed in with well wishes. I have also noted certain members that have chosen to stay silent. You learn who your allies are in times like this.

Don't be paranoid regarding who you think really gives a ****. That's hilarious.

That guy is like an IRS agent, bad breath and hemorrhoids all in one. Nobody wants any of those things, yet he shows up regardless.
Has he ever given any positive vibes to anyone here? Has he ever encouraged or helped anyone? Has he ever started a build thread that went 50 pages? Has he ever sent parts to a member free of charge? Has he ever went out of his way to help anyone?
From what I see, all he offers is negativity, lies, bitching, delusion and stupidity. Who needs a guy like that here?

I am aware that there are all types of people in this world and on this forum.
Some are introverted lurkers that don't post much, if at all. Those members may just read and absorb, slowly gaining knowledge for their own projects.
There are the members that are the first to offer condolences when a pet or family member dies, they are the type that hates to see good people suffer and they want to show that they are not alone in their time of trouble.
There are members that see a tech question and LOVE to jump to the rescue with a solution.
There are members that read an article and want to spread the news to get the word out whether it is in regards to something political, automotive, celebrity related or something else.
Some love to share their experiences they have with a project.
Some start threads to praise a vendor or to warn of a bad one.
Lately, there have been a few more like this one here.....Covid related.
All of the examples that I listed can be beneficial to someone. I think that despite this site being a business, it is also a community of like minded enthusiasts.
I don't understand why a person that craps in every thread he posts in is allowed to remain a member.

KD,
As usual, I'm behind the curve. I've been browsing
mainly the engine/trans/ driveline forum trying
to resolve some post break-in issues, and had not
noticed your thread here. I think I can speak for
others that know and trust you and your
expertise. We wish you well, and a speedy
recovery.
You're needed here. God bless.

Here is a strange thing.....
Throughout this whole deal, I've been using the Braun laser thermometer:

There are some medical practitioners that don't like these no-touch type thermometers but I thought for $80, this should be reliable.
I had another 104 reading earlier so I tested myself again using a Top Care "under the tongue" model....

The number? 99.4.
What ????

I tried the Braun again and it showed 99.5.
This s u c k s !! How do you know what to trust? The Braun was not cheap! I have noticed that the numbers have changed by a degree or more sometimes even when taken only 30 seconds apart. That is not what you want....a thermometer you can't trust?

If you get worse there are other things you can do. Namely the extremely safe - been around for a hundred years - Hydroxycholoraquine, Ivermectin, Azthromiacin (sp) - along with the vitamins. I’ve known those that take it and clear the issue in a week. That 104 fever is a big deal. I hope for the best for you and anyone else suffering from China’s gift to the world. Get healthy!
