Dash lights and dome.

My dashlights and dome light haven't worked since I bought the car about 3 years ago.

In December I installed a new dash wiring harness. Didn't change anything. So this evening after work I started checking it. Found the dome light bulb was blown and replaced it with a new one that will not go off. I checked the fuses and the top one 3amp there is no power. I checked with headlights on and ign switch on. Nothing no power.

So I'm guessing the dash dimmer switch is the root of the problem?

Dimmer rolled all the way to the top turns it on... or a shorted out door switch. (or wire to one touching ground).

While you could have a bad switch it does not control the dome light. Yes it can turn the light on by completing the ground but that's about it. I would pull both door jamb switches and see what it does. If the yellow wire is grounded anywhere the light will stay on.
