My son is 22 years old and he's listened to the "Thin White Duke" forever. One of the few music crossovers we have in common. I saw David Bowie in St Louis. I was at school at Kansas University in Lawrence. We drove across Missouri as fast as we could knowing we'd be a little late. As we pulled into parking for the concert hall we heard some commotion. Looked over and Bowie was walking in the side stage door.

The Gasoline song mentioned earlier is from Cat People. It was used is Inglorious Basterds

I could care less about David Bowie's music although a lot of people do like it. It did not ruin my day. I would be terrible to read that Dave Mustaine or James Hetfield died, but that is the style of music I have been listening to for the last thirty years. My day will go on as everyone eventually dies and the guy was 69 years old. I just hope that my kids bury me and not the other way around.
