David Bowie dies at 69

Yes, it is I couldn't care less.

More to the point...
If an opinion is to be expressed that may run opposite to the crowd, it helps to deliver it in a less toxic manner.
The polite and respectable members wrote that they didn't like everything Bowie produced but respected his work. It is rude and dismissive to stand up and boldy declare that "Most of his work was ****." It would have been much more respectful of the departed to rephrase it..."Most of his work was strange to me. I didn't like it at all."
Same basic theme with both sentences. One has respect and tact, the other shows a lack of humility and compassion.
This isn't a fact, only an opinion.

I hear you Kern Dog,

I truly didn't think RCs reply was overly toxic:

QUOTE: The guy did have a small handful of decent songs, but a huge catalog of ****. To avoid hearing his bad songs and platitudes of what a genius he was, these next couple of days would be a good time not to listen to music on the radio.

That being said, RIP.

Again, it's not a desecration of the Guy.
He did say RIP

I'm out!

You know, I am a big Beatles fan, but I am honest enough to say that they put out some **** music, and each of them on their own put out more **** music than good songs. Would I be offended if someone on an internet forum said as much? Of course not because it's the truth! In fact, I would go so far as to say that EVERY band has put out more **** music than good songs.

Geez, lighten up guys.

I'm with you on that one.'Runner.

Good to know I'm not the only idiot on here Kern.:headbang:
Actually, I'll bet todays regular gas could put out a fire. Sure in the hell doesn't burn very well in the combustion chamber.

You should try using certified California Air Resources Board (CARB) gasoline!

YOU CAN PRACTICALY DRINK IT!

So:
Let me get this straight....

A person can NOT express his disdain on this forum anymore?

If RC does not like David Bowie, he does NOT need to be beaten up about it.

Gee, starting to be like Harvard University around here...
Lets limit free speech...except what we want to hear and say.

I'm okay with Bowie
Hell, I'm grew up with Ziggy Stardust.

If RC does not like David Bowie, I'm okay with it.

I'm certainly not going to attack him.

After all...."Ziggy played guitar"
No one is trying to restrict free speech. There's a way to say and do things in this world without being callous or rude. Example: " Would you like some green beans?" Reply:" No thanks, I Don't care for green beans." As opposed to: "Would you like some green beans?" Reply:" No! I think green beans are ****! " we should all be free to voice our opinions, but it would be nice if people were considerate about it. Including my harsh reply.

I would rather listen to MOTOWN...

here we go now Sonny hit a nerve!

Besides "Revolution #9" i cant really think of a bad Beatles song and McCartney Has not made a Good album since Band on the Run I prefer Ram, or his First album.

With an Italian name like Sonny, one would assume that you listen to do-WOP music.

There you go, we can disagree on Bowie, but we can bond on the fab four.

Free speech? This forum belongs to someone and that someone has a set of rules and that is why a member was 'censored' for what was said about DH I mean RC  Think like this place is someone's home. How much 'free speech' would be allowed in one's home? If it were my home, I would not let anyone say for example, F U to anyone that was a guest in my home or my web site. Oh, I'll be so glad when winter is over lol

Well put Cranky. I will try to think of it in that manner from this point forward.

Regardless, RC is still a DH.
