She did well. The average age for a Newfoundland is 8 to 10 years. She died at 11 on her birthday today. We still have her male pup, Diesel so she's still around through him. This was a great picture my daughter took of Little Bear and Diesel when Diesel was a pup. It made it into a dog calendar for 2023.

On another note sorry to hear about your loss Steve. Our blue tick Heeler just turned 11 and we spent $1300 so far on a cough she had between two different vets in the last month. She is our furry daughter. We are hoping for the best as the second vet may have found the issue…The other vet just masked it with a steroid. Take care as the loss of a pet sucks for sure.

Unfortunately Little Bear didn't make it. She had to be put down this afternoon.

I thank all of you for your well wishes. Really I'm okay. When you get a pet you automatically sign up for losing that pet. It's the circle of life. My ex just lost a cat and that was tough. She let the cat roam. That was the stone-cold killer cat I told you about. Well, she didn't come home. Lots of checking lost and founds, and putting up signs to no avail. Coyotes or a hawk most likely but it's tough when you don't know.
