We hope there is a good recovery.I woke up this morning and the half-bath Little Bear the mama Newfoundland likes to sleep in was covered in blood. It was everywhere in her fur so I couldn't tell where it was coming from. My daughter the veterinary nurse was coming down so when she got here we took LB outside and washed her. Lots of blood. We decided to take her back to my daughter Kylie's vet hospital ER in Denver. They did some tests and the doctor decided LB had a severe bloody nose. Dogs can die from bloody noses because they just don't stop. We brought LB home and she is weak. Kylie pushed a liter of fluids in LB Sub Q. We have some medicine to help the bleeding stop and LB hasn't bled any since last night. LB isn't eating but Kylie said she swallowed so much blood her stomach is probably upset. A Dr. and ER visit that was estimated at $1,000 was dropped to an estimate of $300. Plus Kylie and LB were rushed right in, no waiting. I took a picture of the bathroom floor but you don't want to see it.
Little Bear's 11th birthday is tomorrow. That's extremely old for a 160-pound dog.
Kylie said they are having a really bad outbreak of Kennel Cough here and it's serious. Keep your dog away from others if you can.
I will always try to get your vet questions to Kylie. She'll help if she can.
LB resting up.

Wow. Dummy me! I should have caught that it was a hellcat, not a wildcat. I REALLY should have caught that it said 1943! CV5 was long gone by 1943.CV-10. CV-5 was lost at Midway in June of 1942, before the Hellcat was brought into service in the summer of 1943. See edited caption in #2,745

And the red x I just removed was a scrolling error, (as are most by others and all by me [almost])
Yes. Lol!
Unfortunately Little Bear didn't make it. She had to be put down this afternoon.
