DOGS

@SteveSS if Newfies sound like that, you MUST change your sticker on truck to "....YES, IT'S MY BEAR..." Nobody will bother you, the truck & "BEAR"!!!

Montana is the 3rd one of that mix I have had. They are wonderful, big beautiful and healthy. They love kids and are never mean. The best of both breeds in one package

That dog looks a lot like my dobie/ shepherd Schatze! She was a wonderful loving girl dog. She passed on Easter Day 2016.
She is my third dobie, big ole love buckets and was happy to rescue her. She is 7ish years old.

I think rescues are the way to go, for me anyway. Lilly is our 4th rescue. All 4 were under a year old. Buddy was a 9week old puppy a breeder of Irish terriers was ignoring. I saw him and knew if I didn’t rescue him he would die. KC and Boomer were both strays. Lilly was a leftover from a breeder whose puppies got too big. Nobody wanted them so he dumped them at a kill shelter. Thankfully both Lilly and her brother were rescued, although her brother was returned to the foster. Go figure, you have 2 little kids (2and4) and for your first dog you get a 8 month old Belgian Malinois. Then you return him because he is too energetic! I’m trying to help him find a home. I would take him if I could. If he is anything like Lilly, which is what the foster is telling me, he is an amazingly low key Mal.

Any body who has had a young malinois would know better. We learned our lesson the easy way, and our Malinois rescue went to a good one-dog home. It's really sad that they cant all be rescued.
(Sheela was very low-key with just me, reverted to gsd on Crack with the girlfriend and my two【 at the time】shepherds.)
