I wonder if I could rent a kitten from the Humane Society. I don't want a cat, but I want my dog to more than tolerate cats, to actually like cats. Her breed is feline in many ways, kind of like a fox. She has found out that cats hide excellent sausages in the flower beds

You could volunteer to foster some cats/kittens. Humane society might like cats that are used to dogs, probably easier to find forever homes.

I forgot I had a 4 pack of cupcakes from the bakery. I took one out and gave it to Diesel the Newfoundland. I thought he might make a mess on the floor, but no mess. Did he swallow it whole? I gave him another and watched. He did that thing alligators do when they huff food in the back of their mouth and gulp it. Yes, he swallowed those cupcakes whole. No biting or chewing. I don't think I could gulp 1/3rd of that without choking.

My daughter sent some videos of her mom's new kitten. It plays fetch. My Newfies would chase the ball but never bring it back.

Is Morty schooling Rebel how things are going to be from now on?

yes?

Morty ambushed Rebel from under the sofa and wrapped himself around Rebel's leg......... it all hppened in the blink of an eye......... Rebel went for the attack with an open mouth and stopped himself, then his tail was wagging....... I thought it was over for little Morty

Went to see Dutch this morning at bird training.
She's been gone 2 weeks and can't stand it, she's doing well, she's being force fetched and it's going well, getting shot birds in the pond and walking at a heel. She did get hot spots on her paws, so they gave her a kennel mate and she's doing better. Hate that she was stressed to cause them by licking, but I'm sure she thought she was being abandoned again. 2 more weeks and she can come home or we can do another 2. Not sure if I can wait that long, might wait for summer and due a tune up, but it's on me to keep up the consistency and training. Dogs don't fail it's the owner that fails the dog.

Thor was gone 3 months and it was brutal for me. 3 hours one way to go see him. He was a good dog before he went, but is amazing now. Well worth the time and money.

Just found this pic. Ours as a Pup when we picked her up a little over 11 years ago.
