DOGS

I tried to get my guys interested in Frisbee. When they didn't catch it, and it landed and stopped...... no interest at all. Now, a ball is an entirely different matter!
I am pretty sure the only reason Penny fetches frisbee's is because of her big sister Sadie....a Border Collie. Sadie was fetching when she was a couple months old. She loved balls and sticks too. Penny has the Terrier gene..you threw it..I have it..and you can't have it back :p ..tug of war time. Sally was our Boston..always up for tug of war and Frisbee time as well..from 2018. Sadie didn't waste her time w tug of war..she wanted it thrown.

Cuda and Hemi want the ball cause I'll play tug-a-war with it with them. Magnum, in Arizona, rolls the ball down the sidewalk to me so I'll throw it, and he can chase it, bring it back to the top of the hill and do it again

and again

and again

Mopar used to play the exact same way, that's where Magnum learned it. It was a friendly competition.... that Mopar always let Magnum win.
Damn, I miss her.
(Mopar, the black, Hemi, and Magnum, ears down cause they don't work)

Magnum hated his. He crashed into everything! I don't think he ever figured out that he was twice as wide as normal.

The top pic with his ears up is the ONLY shot of him, EVER, with both ears up. Due entirely to the cone, holding em up.

Sad day here, Elvis Budnicks took his last breath in my hands 12:10pm today
on an emergency visit to a local vet, in the waiting room
he couldn't hold out any more, not even at his reg. vet either

massive tumor Liver cancer for the most part, spleen tumor too
had internal bleeding & very labored breathing, he held out as long as he could

outcome would be about the same even if I had caught it the 1st day
pretty much inoperable supposedly, doesn't make me feel any better

he's no longer in any pain, is my only solace

he will be cremated & I can get his ashes next Tuesday in a nice cedar box

thanks for all the help & talk guys, it means more than you will ever know

RIP Elvis,
my beloved side kick & big boy

So sorry for your loss! They are like our kids! I know he had a great life and that’s what it’s all about. When the time is right, the right one will come.

In my stored photo album, I made a section for our furry buddies. I periodically browse through it looking at our past and present kids. From the past I took a vid for when we had our old backyard redone. We had them put in about 1k sqft of sod for the dogs. It was the first time Neko, Staffy rescue mix, had his own grass. He was a grass roller and was ecstatic that he had his own. Coco and him wrestled around on the grass and were happy. Neko would get his head under her tummy and wheelbarrow her around plus body slamming. Looking back at that always brings back memories.

If we want peace and quiet at bedtime, playtime after dark is mandatory. I have three, (used to be four) glow-in-the-dark balls (I'm on about twelve or thirteen of em, so far )
I hold em under a yard light for 30-45 seconds, and then they have at em.
Fifteen minutes of playtime, peace for a few hours..... till 2 a.m. pee break.
