I guess with todays cars being mostly front wheel drive, gutless marvels, and younger people having no experience with it, no one does donuts in the snow anymore. As a teen one of my favorite things to do in winter was to find a big flat empty parking lot & let 'er rip ! Seemed like rear wheel drive v8's with a fat set of 60's on the back worked perfect ! Lol

My friend got a new 68 vet for graduation, We went to local local school parking lots and did snow donuts.
Remember it like it was last week.

I still do them with my truck in 2wd mode! It's good practice to learn how to correct going into a side skid. Had my son practice it too!

Don't know if the 2wd truck has suregrip, but isn't that real hard on an open differential? Just curious.

It might be, but I always did it every chance I got! I preferred doing them with a sure grip, better control !?! LOL

Use to do donuts with my kids in the car (big empty parking lot) just to hear them scream.

Kids reactions reminds me of mine in the car and hitting a small hill at just the right speed and we all would lose our stomachs! Had to turn around and do it multiple times!

My oldman was a pro at leaving your stomach in a bad state.

A frozen lake is the most fun
better than any parking lot I have used

We have races on Ice
You need to check ice before driving on it
and a way to get back off after

No doubt about that! Remember the show "Ice Road Truckers"; They lose a few every year!

I watched one of the shows and it makes truckers look stupid
going up a hill and all they put on is a single set of single chains
instead for two sets of triples
and yes up north they loose a few trucks
