Donuts in the snow

Yea if I ever get the chance, rental car, full insurance.:steering:
Be like, you said I could just return the keys right?
Bonneville Salt Flats is the place to go.....but make sure you use a Rental....that salt will ruin the car in no time.

Yup, another bucket list hopeful. I just need to make sure the wife has what she needs, just in case.

No thanks for me, I'll wait for the video. My vehicles don't like the rust belt salt and my doctor says I have too much salt in my diet as it is! LOL

A frozen lake is the most fun
better than any parking lot I have used
Grew up in Minnesota - did the lake thing many times. You’re right it’s a blast and no need of a muscle car - any car will do...

I was never big into the donuts, but I loved doing a 180 like I was on a turntable.

Rent from faraway as they locals charge extra if you take on the salt

I used my Jeep for a chase vehicle one year
You need to wash and rinse alot
I parked on top of a sprinkler for a while
It is nasty stuff
I have been a few years and need to get back but gran-kids birthdays are getting in the way

Front wheel drive cars can do reverse donuts. Nowhere near as fun as with RWD. Or there is always the fun E-brake slide. FWD vehicles can be fun if used correctly (or incorrectly).

I love sliding around off road. I had a 73 Duster that I had SO much fun doing Duke Boys stuff!

We call them whipping shitties and do them still to this day in the snow. Wont hurt open diffs on snow and ice. We did them on lawns and gravel roads too. Whipping shitties in town too. If you are really good you can be heading east on the main drag and put the car into a slide and control the drift coming around and end up parallel parking on the other side facing west without hitting parked cars or the curb. Did that one in front of a bar one night... (i don't drink...i was the sober one in the vehicle)
Front wheel drives at night in the fresh snow in reverse is a blast too. Whip shitties on my 4 wheeler still too.

I grew up in Minnesota, and that's what we called them too! :) I live in Indiana now and my friends make fun of me for calling them that. They just call them donuts! Boring! :)

MN native here too.

I grew up, anyone can do it in the snow so I prefer dry pavement and smoking tires now.

Yes snow donuts are still fun too.

In the 80's when I was in the A.F; a buddy used his honda civic FWD in the parking lot. He'd haul *** going backwards, and at the same time pull the parking brake and slam the steering to whichever lock you wanted and keep it floored. Think of a reverse doughnut. Kinda fun!

How about having your friends hold on to the back bumper and pulling them on a snow covered parking lot or a frozen lake.

I did them in the middle of the street behind the bus!
