Electrical bulkhead

Yes. I can see daylight through the bulkhead itself. Not around the edges but through the unit next to the wires.
That's just asking to dust the cabin out

I bought a bulkhead at the nats and I bought a bulkhead gasket "kit" from the same vendor. I either lost or didn't buy the 3 pieces that go inside the 3 engine compartment connectors.
I bought another bulkhead gasket kit from another vendor.

The gasket material was much more dense in the second kit.
I think that one came from DMT in Detroit.

Pack the connectors full of electrical grease, that was one of the "fixes" for the weak single wire for the high current to the amperage gauge but they all should be packed to keep the moisture and corrosion out.

Do you have the small gaskets that go inside the blocks where they plug together?

If you need to buy anything, year one has 30% off, key word finish.

I must not. Thanks I will look into it.

this is a picture from under the dash viewing out.
That's all light coming in around the wires.
I would have thought CI would have included the gasket because they included the firewall gasket

I think if you use electrical grease it will take care of 90% of that.

I've used ones from C Bodies and Imperials on E Bodies I grabbed the whole harness from pick a part
you get the bigger power wires and ammeter bypass- shunt - whatever

AH HA! I had the full seal kit form Detroit Muscle Technologies that is where they must have been!

People have the misconception that Dielectric grease will help with electrcial current fow and it doesn't.
Dielectric grease is a nonconductive grease. Because it is nonconductive it does not enhance the flow electrical current. But what it does is help seal out the moisture and air from causing corrosion to form.

I also use it to lube SS bolts and nuts to prevent gulling and on electrcial ground connections to

Also, make sure the "grease" is dielectric and not an oxide preventative product that wil conduct electricity.
