Truck is home....... guy I bought it from trailered it over 60 miles, and I gave him 200 bucks....... then he asked if I had any odd ball hotrod parts I wanted to sell........ he bought an Offenhauser "dual port" RB intake for a hundred bucks, I considered it to be basically worthless.

so it's in my yard, and I'm in it for 2700 and not a lot of time wasted..... :blah:

It's got the radiator cap right in the top hose so it's easy to just "loop it".
My son keeps a couple of those just for derby cars.

tranny lines are already looped, I have my old Durango Radiator which has a slow leak....... I'm headed outside to tinker after some food.......... I expect to take it down the road in an hour or so

my old rad was leaking pretty bad, and the lower hose has a small tear in it; but I filled it up and took it down the street......... smooth as silk!, needs an alignment; other than that, it appears to be a keeper.......... that Jasper engine is 100% silent 100% of the time

one of the advantages to living in the same place for almost 60 years is you know all of the native old timers in the area.

One of the last remaining "real" junk yards in the state is 3 miles away; I went all through school with one of the daughters, the older brother who runs the show now drove a wrecker in high school....... that was his ride......

anyway, I was there bright and early today...........and "Jr.", who is now 40 years old or so loaded this fine specimen up and dropped it in my yard. It has pretty much everything I need.......even has the matching bumper and cladding; score

I'll strip what I need, cut the frame horns off; then I will fill the bed with any scrap I have in my way, and he'll pick it back up probably next week some time......... that's just how we roll :D :thankyou:

the fan and clutch took a light shot, but still functioning......

I ordered a new heavy duty radiator, water pump, fan clutch, belt, and tensioner from Rock auto........ now is the time, I don't want to be back under the hood later

some days you just have to pull it :jackoff:

both lower ball joints needed to go left a half an inch, it was bent a little behind the pass side........ I have the frame horns already cut off the donor
