exhaust stud removal when installing headers?

Another note when using Doug's headers on 452 heads is that these heads have a ridge that won't let the header flange sit flat. I don't know if other heads have this or not.

Had to grind a bevel on the flange for it to fit flat.

Permatex seal and lock is what was recommended to me as well as specified by oem on the new hemi

i finally got all the studs out with no disaster. next week hopefully install the headers.thanks

Soak the studs a while then screw on two 3/8 nuts back to back on the stud worked like a charm
