Federal or Saginaw ps pump?

There are only 2 types of pumps.
1:Saginaw
2:all the other junk.

I have had some Federal pumps that worked fine. Still have an original on a car that doesn’t leak. Also TRW pumps. Mainly depends on what you want.

Converting to Saginaw is better long term sounds like but will be fall back if needed.

BLEEP BLEEP. the seal fits snug but is not hard to install
I used a clamp to help slide the can on. One pump has had the jd seal for 3 years the other is on a 66 satelite and has ben on 3 months.

My concern, not knowing different, is it feels like the can actually popped off and then slipped on a bit too easily. I just pressed down by hand and it popped right on?
I’m changing the old seal because there was a small leak from the bottom of reservoir seal.

I like the way the cans fit and would use the jd seal again.
