Federal or Saginaw ps pump?

I have had some Federal pumps that worked fine. Still have an original on a car that doesn’t leak. Also TRW pumps. Mainly depends on what you want.
Converting to Saginaw is better long term sounds like but will be fall back if needed.

BLEEP BLEEP. the seal fits snug but is not hard to install
I used a clamp to help slide the can on. One pump has had the jd seal for 3 years the other is on a 66 satelite and has ben on 3 months.

My concern, not knowing different, is it feels like the can actually popped off and then slipped on a bit too easily. I just pressed down by hand and it popped right on?
I’m changing the old seal because there was a small leak from the bottom of reservoir seal.

Pictures of my 1967 440 large TRW. Pulley bent badly and shaft possibly bent. I agree OP has small TRW.
Not sure how close 440 brackets are to 426 hemi brackets.
Thought I would post the pictures for reference.

Thanks for the pics. The bracketry is definitely different. I agree, very sure I have the small but doesn’t look original either. The brackets on mine had turquoise paint under the black respray.

Those pics are a c body bracket

There are two styles of TRW brackets. I have both styles here. The ones shown on that pump are early ones, used through about 1964.

I bought a 440 non-HP engine and 727 trans, assembled and already oiut of car. Engine block Stamp code C440, Casting date 10-28-66, so block is 1967. Heads are 915, which matches 1967. Intake is 2806178 1-5-67 cast date. Oil pan is 187, which does indicate C-body, but fits a lot of years.
Engine and trans have been out of donor car at least 4 years, probably much longer. Donor car is unknown. Owner prior to the one I bought the eng/trans from is passed.
On the TRW pump and brackets:
C-body cars started in 1965 model year.
If the brackets are 1964 and earlier, they can't be C-body.
So I am asking, are these 1967 C-body brackets? Or are they much earlier B-body brackets that someone bolted on?

It might be a case of where it was assembled, or what was in the parts box that day. Obviously two different suppliers.

That's a c body bracket. Also, non hp 440s did not come in b body's.
