I bought a 440 non-HP engine and 727 trans, assembled and already oiut of car. Engine block Stamp code C440, Casting date 10-28-66, so block is 1967. Heads are 915, which matches 1967. Intake is 2806178 1-5-67 cast date. Oil pan is 187, which does indicate C-body, but fits a lot of years.
Engine and trans have been out of donor car at least 4 years, probably much longer. Donor car is unknown. Owner prior to the one I bought the eng/trans from is passed.
On the TRW pump and brackets:
C-body cars started in 1965 model year.
If the brackets are 1964 and earlier, they can't be C-body.
So I am asking, are these 1967 C-body brackets? Or are they much earlier B-body brackets that someone bolted on?
