Fender tag and vin number

Probably just me, but I would be raising a major stink with the seller. Fender tag isn't even for that brand of car, and the VIN tag is atrocious. That tag would be a major problem if the car ever got inspected imo.

There were lots of cars built in the U.S. for canadian consumption, and chrysler historical should have info on them. They had it for mine.
All the b bodies were in that time frame AFAIK. Yours is a 6 under the w car? When did you get it?

You could send that VIN and the body numbers to Chrysler historical to see if they go together. I haven't read all the posts, so I don't know if this has been suggested.
Where was your car built?
Chrysler Historical does not have any records for Canadian shipped 66 Chargers. FWIW.

Post 27 decodes your VIN as built at Lynch Rd, MI. Of course that assumes that sketchy looking VIN is legit. I'd check the body stampings to see if they match.

Where should those stampings be? I have no idea where to look
Mine are on top of the radiator support toward the driver's side. I haven't looked at it in a while and I'm not home to check mine, but pretty sure it has the Scheduled Production Date and a series of numbers that I thought matched the 6 digits of the VIN. DadsBee says not in 67 and I trust him so it must be #s on the Broadcast Sheet.

Oh, there's a body stamp there alright, but that SO# would match the correct fender tag.. not the VIN. That said, the first three digits are the schedule date. My 66 is C15xxxxxx = Dec 15th.

How about a picture of the car itself. The bodies of Coronets and Belvederes look completely different. Wondering if you have a Belvedere cuz the trim tag looks legit to me.

Here's my light blue 67 Belvedere, an internet grab of a red 67 Coronet 500, and a Dave Wise graphic for Vehicle No. Locations:

Yeah, some photos of the car may help. Lots of Canadian cars used Dodge front ends with Plymouth back ends and vice versa. Maybe this was an assigned VIN to replace a lost one? The stamped shipping order number on the core support should match the one on the fender tag. What sort of paperwork did you get with the car? Did it match the VIN?
