Finally Bought My Dream Car. 1969 Roadrunner Project

Nostalgia bud. I almost bought a car like this in the early 80s and have regretted not buying it ever since. She's going to be a sweet ride.

Love the slots! What size?
15x10 with a deep dish backspacing. The wheel currently won’t tuck in the wheel well but I’m going to narrow the rear end for these wheels. I really like the 15x10 slots with the deep dish. I’ve basically built the car around them haha

I love it! great choice. Are you putting 15 x 4s up front?

Yeah Ive been searching for a pair forever. They make 15x5 new so I was thinking of just going with that until a real set of the og ones came along. Going for that old school look

I will look, seems like I saw some from summit or Jegs that were 4.5.

old school rocks!

Today’s after work project. Got the sail panel off. Was probably the easiest panel I’ve removed off the car haha. AMD panel is gonna need some work

Yes I had to do some work on it too. Be sure to check your window trim & window fit before welding.

Out of curiosity. What needed work on yours. Mine is about an 1/8 wider at the top compared to the factory one. No big deal. And the trunk lip is bigger then the AMD quarters. All easy fix’s just glad to have fresh sheet metal haha

Tonight’s short project was this nice ol relief cut. Dutchman panel was 1/4 to wide at the top. Tomorrow I gotta figure out the sides and test fit the trunk to see what I gotta do

Perfect stance and wheel combo! What size of slick on the 15x10 rear wheels.

I want to run my 15x10 5.5 back space steel wheels and the current Drag radials are a bit much at 30" diameter.

These are MT ET Streets 30x12.5 on a 10” wheel. After test fitting I will definitely need to mini tub the inner wheel wells also. So that’s the next little project. Your car looks sweet got any more pictures of the wheel setup?

Yeah, mini tubs are in my near future as well... the 30" is tight. Can't drive with them on at this point. My street tires are 28" N50s on 15x8, but I like the deep dish look better.

Great project young man, and welcome to the world of MOPARS! Good luck with the new car, as I've always wanted a '68 roadrunner and am envious!
