Thanks for the compliment J. I'd like to see more pics of the fine looking car that you have there.

Welcome to the forum.

Well I bought my car last Jan. of 2010 and just got the engine started today. OMG this thing sounds sooooo sweet. I think I got wood when it started !:love6:

I've been replacing the window whiskers and felt runners and installing the side windows.

Long story but I rec'd. a set of the felt / whiskers from 2 different vendors so if anyone needs a set for a 2 dr. sedan (64) let me know.

I took a few pictures of how I applied the felt in the runner that is part of the vent window assembly.

I took a pc. of masonite that I cut approx. 1 1/2" x 38" to use as a form to push the felt into the channel and hold it firmly in place until the contact cement cured. It's much easier to do this on a bench verses the vent window assembly being in the door.

Roll of felt material.

Cut a pc. of felt to length, then sliced it in half to get 2 pcs.

The Buds are not mine............I swear. :bootyshake:

This picture shows the strip of masonite wedged in the window channel holding the felt in place while the contact cement dried.

The windows now roll up and down like new.

Joe, it's good to know that your the first person posting pics on how to do the felt in the window channel, I will copy your method. Where did you get the felt and wat kind of contact cement did you use? And yeah, I'm jealous!!!!!

Here's some updated pictures of how my car is coming along. My cousin in law came over this morning and we installed the new windshield and the rear window.

With the rain today I figured I'd back it outside ( first time I moved the car under it's own power) and let the rain wash away the dust on it.

I have the grill and head light bezels installed, new rear light bezels on, but it's raining so I didn't want to run out and get wet. :bootyshake:

Next on the agenda I think will be to start polishing the exterior trim.

Well don't know about Marcus Dairy cause they've closed, making way for a new shopping center..............like we need another with all the vacant sq. footage for lease around. Have you gone to the Sycamore? I'll have to try it.

Well I put the side trim on this weekend after cleaning it up and polishing it.

The bumpers were not on the car when I bought it and took the trim off. A warning for anyone with a 440.....Do not put front bumper on until you install the most forward piece of the side trim. I had to take it back off to put the 4 speed nuts on these pieces.:icon_axe:
