Took 3 weekends between picking up material, running short. Leveling off furring strips, measure, cut, measure, cut, re-cut miters probably 4+ time to fit snug. But the results are pretty sweet :headbang:

Still have to caulk, fill and paint!

BEFORE. 14 x 23 room. The PO had build up furring strips, to bump out from the sheetrock to match the unfinished slab edge. If you recall way back when it was "normal" to have carpet go up 5" on to the wall with no baseboard trim. The PO had used 1/8" panelboard and stapled material over the panelboard, since it flexes, they never leveled off the face of the furring strip so the wall was one giant wave.

.........But you cut it off twice and it's still too short!!!! Haha!

Anyway, looks like you are doing some nice work!

That does look nice. I agree...Finish work sucks. I am a Carpenter Framer. I frame walls, floors but mostly roofs. I really enjoy building the structure but when it comes to baseboards, cabinets or interior stuff, I get bored quickly. I do like exterior siding.

looks pretty good,
time consuming finish work for sure

I am a second generation carpenter; I had to learn to do it all. You can be good and fast; just takes practice and experience. Thats the difference between novices and professionals. Don't complain, you saved yourself a ton of labor money and learned some new skills. Congrats.

Thanks, probably most of my frustration comes from the obstacles in the way of making it square.. cupped plywood, unlevel sheetrock, etc. I suppose that's where experience kicks in.
