I went with my lovely wife and youngest and visited the UP big boy in downtown St. Louis. What a beautiful machine! One heck of a crowd!

Took my dad back in the late nineties to see it. He worked the railroad in the early 50’s and saw them in action. He said the ground would shake. It was a local stop on a tour. His dad was a part time engineer in Mississippi and his brother retired from a Florida railroad. Love those old steam engines.
 
The wife and I took the Crawford Notch ride from North Conway NH last weekend. Beautiful scenery. We live in a great country. About a 5 hours round trip.
