Friday night Tunes

fwiw, in one of my internet surf moments, i read that the lead intro and solo that was on 'train' on 'get your wings' was done by steve hunter and dick wagner, not perry and whitford
wagner and hunter also played on lou reed's 'rock & roll animal)'. the 'sweet jane' intro is one hell of a jam.
(sorry, seems there is no video of that pairing live on stage)

I was in a local guitar store about 5 years ago[actually 7-wow], and this guy grabs a nice new piece, and sits in a open practice/try-out booth. He starts pickin'away...and slowly starts upping the tempo and volume into a short jamming session. I have to leave, and I tell the salesperson..."wow! That guy is good!. He laughs at me, and says..."He should be, that's Dick Wagner". If I'd had the time, I'd have bought a wall-hanger, and got an autograph and picture.

The man played with purpose. Lots and loud notes, aren't always a sign of greatness. A true master. GodSpeed Mr. Wagner.
