I heard it yesterday afternoon on (I think) Spectrum. I was shocked to hear that it was Pat Boone, but then I remembered that about 15 years ago, he came out with an album of heavy rock songs that he covered.

I was at this concert in Oakland Ca. July 2nd 1977, just 10 days before I turned 18, what a concert {Peter Frampton too}, it was pretty much "packed" house IIRC 70k...
I was way up on the top of the stadium, it was hot as hell...
Allot of "herbs" I mean a whole lot, in the air down on the stadium floor...
I didn't want to get too many lungs full, I had to go to Oregon summer football camp, the next week & was worried about getting a contact high or piss testing positive for "squanski" {slang for Pot back in my group of friends}...

Those "Day on the Green" shows by Bill Graham were over the top. I attended quite a few of them in the mid-late 70's.....some I remember, some...not so much ;-)
