Is there any particular mechanical fuel pump that should be used on a 440 Cross Ram with 2 Eddy 500 carburetors? Thank you for your help.

Excellent. Exactly what I needed to know. Thank you. Are you guys running manual chokes on your carbs?

Holley 750 mechanical secondaries, no choke. Few minutes of babysitting then idle.

Okay. I'm doing the right thing, then...lol. Thanks again

I have the eddy pump woks just fine, use a regulator to keep the pressure down.

I use the Carter pump and it works well. I also have 2 - 500CFM Edelbrock carburetors and have hooked up manual chokes to both. I like the chokes because it gives you a fast idle when the motor is cold.

Edelbrock 1723 feeds my buddy's 6 pack just fine, 3/8 fuel lines are recommended.

Sounds weird, huh? If you measure the inside diameter of a 1/4" pipe thread fitting, it's 3/8". The 3/8" fuel line gives you more volume of fuel available to the carburetors. It will work fine.

I dont use a choke either but I use a single Holley 850 DP. I have found the Carter AFB's and AVS's or the Eddy version of them are harder to start without a choke in colder weather like below 50 degrees F and colder since the Holley DP has 2 accell pumps it pumps in more fuel when you pump the gas and starts fine for me even in cold weather. But the Eddy and Carters were much harder to get started for me in colder weather since they only have one acell pump. So a manual choke on the Eddy is not a bad idea if you drive in colder weather when it gets dowm below 40 F. Ron
