Golden Goddess heart surgery

Pretty productive weekend. Getting all the accessories bolted and lined up was a big pia, and it’s hard to hold your bolt and nuts when sweating more the whore in church

Looks great and you’re over the hump and on the downhill side. Progress is progress and you’ll be starting it pretty soon. Keep smiling and putting parts together.

Maybe I misunderstood....did the alternator brackets I sent work out for you?

yes, once I figured out how they went. Thank you!

This is the correct one, and I was trying to use the threads in the head thinking that’s what they were for. It never crossed my mind it went to motor mount, until I did some research. It all fell together after that

Put the carb on, hooked up the linkage. Hooked up electrical. Finished installing the forbidden kool aide storage, which I still need 1 hose clamp. Waiting on my wire crimper to make my plug wires. Still needs plugs. Oil pressure gauge needs hooked up, probably some small things I’m forgetting. But that’s all for tonight

Try some of this...

You'll get more stuff done.
You may screw up some of it but you'll get a LOT of stuff done.

Yeah, I get that. I used to work and drive the long way home and sometimes get stuff done on the house or the cars.
I have notebooks going back to the mid 90s....In the early 2000s, I wrote that I'd work all day then go to a buddy's place to work on his POS house for 2-3 hours. I look back at that now and wish I still had that level of drive and motivation. I have the energy and ability, I just don't care enough to do stuff sometimes.

Get it ready to light, have all fluids in etc, check adjustments plus make sure the battery is fully charged. Walk away for the day, come back fresh, recheck then light it off. BTW, get the car outside too just in case.

Alright, who didn’t put the heater hose port on while everything was off and out of the way ?

Started working on the wires, I shouldn’t have gotten all straight ends, but I think it’ll be fine, this was the best way I found to run the wires, out of the way, and easy trace

I’ve spent the day knocking out a bunch of little things and cleaning up. We should have lift off tomorrow, and we’ll find out if all this work was worth it

You’re going to be blasting down the street sooner than you think. Looking forward to hearing about your shake down run very soon.
