Golden Goddess heart surgery

So what’s next? It looks like you’re ready to swing it into the car and start bolting on some parts…

well, it’s not bolted down, but it’s supported enough I can take a break.

Progress is progress and everything will work itself out. You will be laughing and blasting down the street sooner than you might think.

Hooker headers kinda suck, this little booger is the biggest problem

Oh hell yeah! I remember that bolt

I use a stud at each end of the head to hold the header in place. Then you can pull the header back away from the head, slot the two end holes in the gasket and drop it in. The bolt like that one needs to go in first while he header is loose. Might want to use a hex head bolt for that one.

Hope you're using a thread sealer like Permatex #2 or a liquid Teflon on them.

Good luck, you're coming right along

I wasn’t sure with aluminum heads if I needed to use anti seize, or just put thread locker.

After I logged out last night I had an after thought that you were using aluminum heads. I don't believe they drill and tap into the water jackets on those like on the cast iron.

Carry on!

Thankfully not, idk why Chrysler thought that was a good idea

Question for the people with headers, do I put the passenger motor mount bolt in now, or wait until I get the driver header in?

Driver side was a fight only because of having to go through the bottom. So I got to enjoy “Jack ballet” for a few days. Finally got the header in place, and I’m very pleased it only kisses the steering column
