Golden Goddess heart surgery

Heck yeah! We primed the oil, found the oil line for the pressure gauge was cracked, fixed that. Tried starting it, turns out the distributor was 180 out. So once it started, after 3 minutes I noticed the smoke got thicker and it was probably more than just header paint, so I pointed to my buddy, he motioned for me to shut it down. Power steering line was cracked and spraying fluid everywhere, made the choice to cut the belt and continue. Ran it at 2k rpm for 20 minutes, revving it up to 3k every minute. Ran a solid 210 degrees, 55lbs oil pressure. No leaks, no noises, freaking perfect!:drinks:

Great news! I think your car is probably the most "true looking Mopar" on this site, it must be back on the road! It just has that look that made us all become fans of these things. This is what we were all street racing in the 70's.

Thank, that was exactly what I was going for!

Any good hydraulic shop should have the proper fitting. Bring the hose and the fitting from your steering gear so they can match things up.

Since she was so well behaved during the break in, I’m thanking her with a spa day. Last year I used some Meguiars something, and it shined it up a little, but I wasn’t happy. I know nothing about this stuff, all the numbers and confusing words. Well I found wizards products and thought I’d try it. I am pretty pleased with it, it’s hard to get a good picture, but it the paint is nice and clear and shiny

Update. Cars due for exhaust Thursday afternoon because I wasn’t expecting the debacle of the power steering hose, I finally resolved. And there’s a car show Saturday I’ll try to make. I haven’t heard the car run in over a week, it needs carb tuning, I don’t even know if the brakes work, the shifter works, or the clutch works, the timing needs set. And lastly the car is dirtier than a cheap hooker on a Friday night.….I’ll take it over being a brain dead zombie glued the tv screen every night though

I get an hour lunch, and I don’t live far from work, so I played with it a little bit. It was reading 5”, now it’s reading 13 or 14” at 900rpm, which I guess is good?
