Got my 440 installed

Yes Thanks for sharing your pics, your attention to detail is awsome.....May have to get a set of Hedman Headers sent over here when i fit the 440 to my 65 CORONET.....:yes::yes:

Damn, that is one SWEET ride!!!! Where did you get the interior stuff, or was some of it useable (carpet, seats, headliner)?

Thanks. Definitely try the hedmans. You wouldn't believe how cheap they are $155! So even if you have to beat on them a little you won't feel bad.

Most all of the interior is from Original Auto Interiors. They do nice work. The door panels seem to be original and need some detailing on the chrome bits. The seats (and paint) were already done when I bought it.

The early B-Body 6 cylinder cables are plenty long. I use them even with Max Wedge intakes. Hit the local pic your part.
Doug

Ah see that is what I was hoping for - the six cyl cable. I'm going to check that out. Thanks for the tip.

That is a BAD *** ride! Nice work on the detail too. Makes me anxious to get my 64 Belvedere back from the body shop. Do you mind telling us how much the door panels and seat covers were? I need all new interior.

Well it tried the Lokar throttle cable and it worked pretty well. I'll keep ane eye out for a six cylinder cable since it looks more original. But for the time being the lokar one will get me going. Thanks for the suggestions.
The seats were already done when I got the car but I think the covers are around $700. Check Legendary Interiors or Original Auto Interiors. Thedoor panels are original I think so I can't give you a price on those either.
Thanks for the nice compliments on the car, appreciate hearing it!!

WOW looking gooooooood!!
Is this a genuine radio delete car? Love the red interior (I have it too) and nice to see the shifter handle...I'm converting my car to a 4speed soon so nice to see a preview.

No, it's not a radio delete car from what I can tell.

I got the engine fired up and broken in this weekend. Here is a vid of the first signs of life. Notice the header paint getting roasted off in about 20 seconds… time well spent painting those!

You should trade cars with your brother

I only take first borns.

More more more!!!!!

Here are a couple more shots-

The car runs and drives and stops as of yesterday. I only drove it to the gas station and back... and the gas gauge seems to work! One less thing to mess with.

Well I thought I might finally do an update here now that I have some time. I’ve been working on the car pretty much nonstop through last weekend. There is a nice car show here in Santa Barbara that I was determined to get the car ready for. Aside from the headliner, windshield install, paint job and seat covers I’ve done it all myself.

Here are some of the things I’ve done recently:

Floor has been sound deadened:
