Help! Bees!

all black or real dark/black/blue are another brand of wasps/hornets

There is a lot of different kinds n colours of wasp n hornets, try smoking them out the old fashion way

The bee keeper bill hurts so much less than the bee stings.

You're in the neck of the woods that can have Africanized bees, yes?
("Killer" bees)
I honestly dont know. I havent heard much about killer bees in a few years, and if they WERE killer bees, they are pretty old and geriatric. They only nailed me five times!

Do they look like this by any chance?

If they were "Africanized" he wouldn't have only gotten stung four times....
I've not heard tale of regular ol' honey bees attacking in any numbers, either.
Too early for yellow jackets as well, so...
how about a pic?

Our wasps are already coming out of dormancy here in Canuck land, can't imagine why they wouldn't be out pretty much year round in AZ.

Yup... I have a number of friends with orchards, the bees have already done their thing, Bee Keeper delivered the hives, bees pollinated the trees & Bee Keeper picked up the hives.. Blossoms have fallen off the trees & nuts are starting to show...

Garage is in Arizona . I had to head back to California for a few days, this morning. I can post some pics in a few days. The girlfriend won't go anywhere near em. Lots of allergies in her family.

I'm near the hives on my friends orchards every year.... If you calmly do your thing they don't bother you... You start banging stuff around & they get agitated... The guys around here who work with bees rarely wear protection... Just work quiet & calm... Africanized is a completely different matter....

@33 IMP did you catch this post I made earlier?

Crazy idea here... Call a Bee Keeper... They make money with bees, they are often happy to remove a nest for free.... My buddy just had a huge nest removed from a rental house on his farm.. No charge...

Yes, but I thought they would only relocate honey bees. When I get back to az in a couple days, I'll see what I can find. But, what little research I did, I saw estimates of up to $700 to get them out of the wall, and besides, it's not my wall! There are local crops growing nearby, maybe somebody will want them, the trick is to find out who!

Yeah the actual bee keepers usually want the bees & don't charge, the "pest control" guys are a different matter...

They may or may not take different varieties of bees, job one is pollination...

Heck, i still dont know for sure WHAT they are.
In my limited knowledge of bees, wasps, and hornets, I think of wasps and hornets as having multiple body segments. These are just one simple black blobs with wings.

Billy used Pyrethrum. Looks expensive, like $20 or more a can.

Try not to get stung. I became allergic by being stung too many times over the years. Too much venom in my system now for it to be neutralized. The venom stays in your body forever.

+100 to this. We had a colony/swarm take up residence in our brick chimney and called a beekeeper and he was happy to take them off our hands for basically free. He set up a trap on the roof for a few days and came back to collect. He was thrilled to have them, apparently it was quite a large colony.
