I've not heard tale of regular ol' honey bees attacking in any numbers, either.If they were "Africanized" he wouldn't have only gotten stung four times....
Our wasps are already coming out of dormancy here in Canuck land, can't imagine why they wouldn't be out pretty much year round in AZ.

Crazy idea here... Call a Bee Keeper... They make money with bees, they are often happy to remove a nest for free.... My buddy just had a huge nest removed from a rental house on his farm.. No charge...
