Help W/Big Block Selection

So what HP level would the squeeze give you? The stock block might,,,,but how long,,,,,,,,?

To be honest the plates only going on cuz i planned it when my motor was ported 452 heads and 446 inches. Now it's 512 and trickflows...

Be that as it may,a small hit shouldn't hurt. I am no expert by any means,I'm just another addicted MOPAR junky that just goes faster and faster. I use a siamesed bore mega block that I bought over 10 years ago.

I love it.

I just don't want my motor to evolve into something like that. This thing I'm just gonna cruise. Do 45mph rolling burnouts for my kid.

If it's weak and I got the combo off or something I'll spray 100 horse through it.

Sorry to thread jack

For what you are doing, you don't need to make 600HP.
Picking a HP number because you've been jaded by magazine articles that have you thinking you need 600HP to make it to the car show with the air blowing cold and sounding like a race car is not reality.

Build a pump gas 440.

No mag articles here. I'm used to high hp and/or high performance cars. Had a 850hp Porsche 997 Turbo, C5 Z06, Viper GTS. Current main toy is a Lambo Huracan that runs 10.4's bone stock. While I'm not looking to outperform that car I also don't want my big body 68 Charger to feel sluggish either.

I agree on pump gas. I have no interest in a super high strung and finicky engine. This is why the Blueprint sounded best. 525hp and around 600tq yet $8500 with warranty. Similar power from Indy is about $1600 more and I think it is missing a few things. Would you guys concur that for what I'm looking for the Blueprint may be best engine?

Both MRL Performance and muscle motors know what they're doing in my opinion. Muscle motors is currently building my new motor. My goal is 700hp and longevity. 700hp is easy to achieve, building it to last at that power level is costing some money. For a street and cruising motor a very responsive motor with a huge torque curve would be ideal. Mine should make over 500 ft lbs from 2500 up through 5500. Time will tell I guess. Good luck with yours!
